Welcome to Cuelane. By using our service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

Cuelane is a timed presentation platform that allows users to upload PDF files, organize slides into chapters, set time per slide, and present with live synchronization or shareable links.

2. Account & Registration

To use Cuelane, you must create an account with a valid email address and password (minimum 6 characters). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscription Plans

Cuelane offers two plans: Free (1 presentation, 10 slides, share mode only, 50 MB storage) and Pro (unlimited presentations and slides, full timer with rollover, live mode, analytics, custom branding, 5 GB storage, EUR 20/year). Features and limits may change with prior notice.

4. Payments & Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed annually at EUR 20 via Stripe. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; Cuelane does not store your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

5. User Content

You retain all rights to content you upload (PDFs, images, videos, etc.). By uploading content, you grant Cuelane a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share any content.

6. Intellectual Property

The Cuelane platform, including its design, code, logo, and features, is the intellectual property of Cuelane. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the service without written permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Cuelane for: uploading illegal, harmful, or infringing content; attempting to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data; disrupting the service through automated scripts, bots, or excessive API calls; any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.

8. Service Availability

Cuelane strives to maintain high uptime but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

9. Liability

Cuelane is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cuelane is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination & Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time via Settings. Upon deletion, all your data (presentations, slides, uploaded files, analytics) will be permanently removed. Cuelane may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms with prior notice where reasonably possible.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
